There are 3.5 million acres of protected land for us to explore in Colorado! Are you looking to elope on a mountaintop, Colorado has 54 14ers, 634 13ers, and 676 12ers and that doesn’t even include all the other ones at lower elevations that are really cool! If you're looking for a lake to elope at, you’ve got 2,000 to choose from! Do you two love the sound of running river water for your elopement, you’ve got 236 rivers that are running. Looking for fall aspen leaves, well, Colorado is home to 5 million acres of Aspen forests.

Before you sign you do need to pick a general basecamp for your elopement! Mainly so the date and location can confidently fit on the schedule! Your basecamp should be within 1-2 hours of your elopement location. Because there's so many great places to elope in Colorado sometimes it helps to narrow down your search by Mountain feature, National Park or Adventure type. When planning your elopement during Covid-19 please check with regulations before the wedding day to make sure you are legally allowed to travel there and that you are following all the government safety rules. Updates are occurring daily and we must ALL be diligent about staying current. I will help my clients to do the research in order to stay safe. Mountain Top - Loveland Pass
Such a great location to elope anytime of year. with fabulous views of the mountains surrounding you with easy accessible trails on the ridge line to explore. check out some photos from a sunrise elopement here.
Alpine Lake - Indian Peaks Wilderness
Indian Peaks Wilderness offers some great Alpine Lakes that are accessible and some that are a little more remote. All of them are stunning with a great possibility of seeing a moose.
Forest - San Juan Mountain Range
The San Juan mountains offer a variety of forest from Aspen Groves to Pine trees that touch the sky. is area Colorado is a little harder to get to there for a little bit more secluded offering more privacy for your elopement.
River - Roaring Fork River
You're up for an adventure along a crazy Road in the summer then the Roaring Fork River is for y'all. if you're really feeling the need for adventure there's a great swimming hole when the water is down.

Great Sand Dunes National Park
If you want to feel like if you've gone to a different world then consider the Great Sand Dunes National Park. With over 30 square miles of sand that are towering at 750 feet high there’s a ton to explore and sled down. Just get ready for sand in your toes.
Rocky Mountain National Park
This is such a great close by National Park I love exploring it year round! With so much lovely terrain ranging from 7,600 feet to 14,259 feet you can drive from the bottom of the river all the way up to where the river starts at the glacier. Mesa Verde National Park
If you’re looking for a park full of rich history and nature, this one is the one for you. With over 5,000 archeological sites to explore with a guide. You get to learn about the Pueblo people who used to live in the beautiful red cliffs throughout the park. The stunning overlooks are perfect for your ceremony.
Black Canyon National Park
Looking for something unique, the Black Canyon is stunning! It’s the deepest canyon in North America at 8,043 feet. There’s tons of fantastic overlooks looking into the canyon or you can make the big hike down to the river at the bottom. It’s really fantastic by the river in the fall because the trees light up perfectly with the tall towering walls around you.

When I get above treeline without having to hike? Mount Evans is the perfect Road above the treeline that can get you access to incredible views in Alpine Lakes. Weekdays are definitely the best time to elope on Mount Evans! Check out my blog post, here, on why weekdays Rock!
Hike - Dream Lake
Dream Lake is a perfect hiking elopement spot inside of Rocky Mountain National Park. You can't actually say your vows at the lake but we can go hike there to take amazing photographs of your adventure. It's about a 2-mile round trip so no worries about getting all sweaty before your photos.
4x4 - Yankee Boy Basin
For a great off-roading experience, head out to Yankee Boy Basin! It's a great way to get secluded in the wilderness, relaxing and adventuring in the jeep. There are plenty of photo ops on this Grand Adventure!
Ski - Copper Mountain
Want to get married while you're skiing? Well, you can do it! We can even hike to a secluded part of the mountain, that's inbounds, where you can say your vows and get great pictures in your dress and skis of course.
