What To Expect On The Day Of Your Adventure Elopement

The day of your adventure elopement is going to be a day you will never forget! It’s the day that you make some really big promises and really feel the love to your core! Oh, and we will certainly have an adventure on your elopement day.

Imagine Your Elopement Day

Let’s imagine what your elopement day could look like! For today we’re going to walk through the day as if we are having a sunset adventure elopement in Rocky Mountain National Park in August. That way, you can really see what your whole day could look like, including the photography coverage you might want.

You two love birds would wake up at your cute Airbnb in Estes Park around 8:00 am and make some coffee. Then you would eat some yogurt and fruit with scrumptious croissants. I don’t know, I love the ham and cheese ones but the chocolate ones are so delicious too decisions, decisions! Oh, you’ll just have two of them, one sweet and one savory, it’s your wedding day!

Then y’all will go to the spa and have a couple’s massage. I mean why not get really relaxed the morning of your wedding! Then have a nice little hike, y’all picked out a wonderful section of Lumpy Ridge for a picnic with an amazing view.

After lunch and watching the elk roam around town y’all will head back to the Airbnb. Your hair and makeup gal arrive around 3:00 pm to get you ready for your wedding ceremony. I’ll arrive at your Airbnb around the same time to document the details and your hair and makeup process. As well as y’all getting ready in your wedding day attire. Y’all will also be snacking on an amazing charcuterie board while you're getting ready and relaxing.

At 5:00 pm we’ll head to the designated ceremony site at 3M Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park that you have reserved and procured the wedding permit for a year before. If you are curious about other ceremony location spots, check out Rocky Mountain National Park Wedding & Elopement Guide.

Once we get there we’ll get out of the car and I’ll walk the groom to the ceremony site. Then on my signal, the bride will walk the dirt path to the groom. They will meet on the magical outdoor natural ceremony site. They will open their vow books and tell each other what they promise to each other. They will exchange wedding rings as they say “I do!” and they’ll kiss for a very long time! I mean why not, you take all the time you want!

When we’re all ready, they will make this ceremony official and they will sign the papers to seal the deal. Voilà! You’re Married!

We’ll all jump in the car and head up to Trail Ridge Road, it’ll be about 6:30 pm. It’s best for great sunset photographs at the top. The sun will duck over the horizon at 8:30 pm. So on our way up to the top we’ll stop at one spot along the way to get some great shots of y’all together, exploring!

We’ll have so much fun running around above treeline for sunset, surrounded by mountain views! You’ll take in the scenery, snuggle up and enjoy the fact that you are NOW married!

After sunset, we’ll head back to your Airbnb where your personal chef has the table full of hors d'oeuvre and they are already preparing your luxury dinner of burgers, bacon brussel sprouts, and truffle fries. Y’all will drink your favorite beer and enjoy the fabulous company. And a chocolate mousse cake is ready whenever y’all are!

The s'mores bar out on the patio will be all set up next to the fire as the chef departs. Y’all will eat up as many marshmallows as you can desire as you snuggle next to the fire. Then y'all will jump in the hot tub under the stars and talk about all your favorite parts of the day.

When you're all relaxed you’ll get in your new pj’s and snuggle next to the fire! No worries you two love birds, I departed right after y’all jumped in the hot tub!
